Yesterday at Dead Creek, via canoe:
one pair of black terns (NOrth of 17)
several Va. Rail and Sora, heard and seen
green and great-blue herons
1 mute swan
loads of ducks (large flocks of mallard and black duck) and geese
Tennessee WArbler? (heard but not seen in the parking lot on the southwest
side)
blackpolls
blue-gray gnatcatcher (menacing a grackle)
Epid. species - which one goes FITZ-bew? Willow?
