Below is a list of birds seen on the Mad River Path south of the Meadow Road parking lot on Saturday morning.  

baltimore oriole, eastern phoebe, grackle, yellow warbler, redwing blackbird, european starling,crow, goldfinch, tree swallow, kingbird, wood ducks, robin, warbling vireo, canada goose, least flycatcher, killdeer, osprey, spotted sandpiper, catbird, cardinal, belted kingfisher, yellow rumped warbler, mallard duck, blue jay, mourning dove, black capped chickadee, song sparrow, bobolink, savannah sparrow, barn swallow, broad wing hawk, turkey vulture and last but not least, the rose breasted grosbeak.


There will be two more bird walks sponsored by the Mad River Path Association on Saturdays -  May 15 and 22 from 8-10 AM starting from the Meadow Rd parking lot about 3 miles north of Waitsfield Villlage off Rte. 100.  (Make a sharp turn onto Meadow Rd close to Small Dog Electronics).  All are welcome.
