Managed to sneak a few peeks at birds during
today's Rutland County Audubon-VINS butterfly
outing.

2 blue-winged warblers were singing away in West
Rutland along the Pleasant Street powerline
(scene of the Townsend's Solitaire last
December). Also seen or heard were praire
warbler, ovenbird, chestnut-sided warbler,
Nashville warbler, 3 field sparrows (including a
nest with eggs), veery, eastern towhee and lots
of catbirds.
