It is unusual to see a Brown Thrasher in Rochester.  I think I've only seen 3
or 4 in the 35 years I've lived here.  This afternoon there was a pair in my
yard!
Yesterday in Florence, I saw a Sharp-shinned Hawk twice.  The second time, it
swooped toward the ground.  I lost sight of it but a few minutes later it
landed on a dead log and proceeded to dine on a Chipmunk.
