With all the talk lately about Vermont being the only state in the union
without breeding bald eagles I was surprised to hear my mother tell me that she
had been invited by a friend to view bald eagles at their nest in Vernon. Seems
that young were present at the nest. Now, I would never doubt my mother. (But,
has this been confirmed?)

I believe bald eagles have nested across the river in Hinsdale, NH in the
past. Maybe they set up housekeeping on our side of the river this time.
