Through the sheets of rain at 6:45 am this morning, I watched a tight flock
of c. 55 White winged Scoters (difficult to get precise count) on Lake
Pinneo in Quechee. At least 40 were males, and they were displaying
actively before the few females.
Also present were a single Red-necked Grebe and 2 Spotted Sandpipers.
