Meetings for Beginning Farmers and Farm Interns
Cedar Circle Farm and Valley Food and Farm have organized a series of
meetings this summer for Beginner Farmer and Farm Interns. These meeting
will consist of a topical farm tour and an informal potluck dinner.
-The goals of the project are both educational and social--- to give
apprentices and new farmers more exposure to local farmers and different
types of operations, and to help build social networks while introducing
them to the local culture of farming. All sessions will be 4:00 7:00 PM.
-Were estimating farm tours and questions will take 1-1.5 hours. Potluck
and social time will take up the rest of the evening.

6/29 Cedar Circle Farm, East Thetford, VT organic vegetable, berry &
greenhouse operation w/ farm stand (converting to certified organic)
7/13 Edgewater Farm, Plainfield, NH small fruit, vegetables, & greenhouse
operation w/ farm stand (pondering the economic sense of becoming a farmer)
7/27 Luna Bleu Farm, South Royalton, VT--- organic vegetables & meat and
farm-based crafts, CSA (integrating livestock into a vegetable operation)
8/10 Windy Ridge Farm, North Haverhill, NH orchard and Christmas trees
(direct farm marketing and destination farm)
8/24 Sunrise Organic Farm, White River Junction, VT --- organic vegetables
thru CSA, syrup, lamb, and wool products (part-time farming and accounting)
