Spent the afternoon at Beebe Pond and managed to see a few birds. One was
a curious YELLOW-THROATED VIREO that followed as I pushed Trudy in her
stroller, the more noise she made the closer the bird came. While I was
out for my walk, Heather saw a woodpecker with a solid black back and it
had white on the edge of the wings. Sounded to me like a BLACK-BACKED
WOODPECKER, but I thought they were in the northern part of the state, with
that being their most southerly range.
