Martha,

I suspect (again, without seeing the undersides) that the species in all
three photographs is the Long Dash (Polites mystic)...# 1 and 2 are males,
and #3 is a female...

June 28th is just the right date to find somewhat past peak males (as in #1
and 2) and a peak female (as in #3)...However, June 28th is also just a bit
early for the Black Dash (Euphyes conspicua)...in southern Vermont anyway...

Now 2003 was a late year, while 2004 is not...but note that my fresh female
Black Dash from 2003 near Green River (Windham Co.) was taken on July
20th...
