On sunday (8/1/04), Tuesday (8/3/04) and today there has been a Great Egret
feeding in the wet area along Rte. 7 just before Arlington where the Great
Blue Herons have nested this year. Also a couple of Herons are still in one
nest and several are feeding in the area below the nests.
Does anyone know if the water was purposely let out of the area where the
Herons were nesting? I know in the past that has been done on the other
side.
Recently someone reported seeing a vesper sparrow in the Dead Creek area.
Where approximately did that happen. Thanks!
