Information Technology professionals often deal with privacy issues within
the scope of their professional duties. While most I.T. professional have
no formal training on this topic, they are confronted with complex issues
because privacy concerns take on ethical, legal, policy, technical and
personal perspectives. The SIG will provide an overview of recent
developments related to privacy as it impacts the I.T. field as well as
in-depth discussion associated with various systems implementations to
enhance privacy such as generated I.D. utilization in higher education.
