Paleoclimatology/Paleoceanography Faculty Position at the Department of

The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Lamont-Doherty
Earth Observatory of Columbia University seek applicants for an Assistant
Professor or a tenured Associate or Full Professor in paleoclimatology or
paleoceanography. The successful applicant will have a strong analytical
background, as well as active field or seagoing programs, and an interest
in developing collaborative projects in such fields as geochemistry, ocean
and atmosphere dynamics, climate modeling, or carbon cycle research.
Minimum requirements for the position are a Ph.D. in related fields, with
appointment to senior level position contingent upon scholarly
credentials. Applicants should have a strong interest in teaching and
advising students. Screening will commence January 1, 2004 and continue
until the position is filled.
