Some avy facts from Bruce Tremper's "Staying Alive in Avalanche Terrain":
-An average-size dry avalanche reaches speeds of 20mph in 3 seconds and travels 60-80 mph
within 6 seconds
-Over 1/4 of avy victims die from trauma by hittting trees and rocks on the way down
- a slab avalanche is made of large, heavy cohesive plates of snow sliding as a unit, and breaking
apart as they descend the slope
- a typical slab is about the size of half a football field
Given the above fact, I can't imagine anyone wanting or being able to skiin one.
Read the above book, then take a class. It can scare you into saving your life.
