I'd say you summed it up pretty durned well, Jim! Yes, the list veers
sharply off course from time to time - as will any conversation held in a
roomful of smart, passionate and opinionated people. That's part of the
charm and fun, IMHO.
I, too, would NOT like to see the list loaded up with FS: Superblitz 300XK
postings. The occasional piece of oddball gear tossed out there .. or a
post advising other listers that something cool is available to all? Sure,
why not? But routine classified ads are boring. Ski threads, political
threads, Red Sox threads and flame wars are fun.
