Spent Sunday in the Champlain Valley. Burlington and south.
Highlights from 45 species were:
Horned Grebes at Charlotte and Shelburne Beaches.
1 Ring-necked Duck at Burlington water front.
2 Long-tailed Ducks at Burlington water front. 5 more at Button Bay. All
females.
3 adult Bald Eagles. Seen at Shelburne Bay, Shelburne Beach and Button Bay.
At misc locations: 10 Red-tailed Hawks and 5 Rough-legged Hawks.
1 Lapland Longspur amongst a flock of Horned Larks East of the road to Tri Town
Water Treatment.
1 Northern Shrike in Charlotte.
Approx 30 Bohemian Waxwings with 10 Cedars in Charlotte.
A good sized flock of Cedar Waxwings in Vergennes.
3 Eastern Bluebirds in Vergennes.
1 x Northern Mockingbird at Blodgetts Beach.
Good to be out and about.
