This is not as exciting as the sighting of the great grey owls in Montreal,
but a Coopers hawk has been terrorizing my feeder birds for the past few days.
I saw him yesterday about 20 feet from my house chowing down on an unfortunate
mourning dove. This morning he was back, perched in a nearby tree, perusing
the chickadees and titmice visiting my feeder, but not harassing them-though
they were understandably wary.
