At WNESU we have been using Open Office on many computers. Most student and
lab computers have MS Office but for those PC's that are being used by staff
or low end PC's that are used only occasionally it is a great alternative to
MS Office. You need to make sure that the defaults are set up on each
program so that they save and open MS office documents.
