I saw your inquiry and asked Elizabeth McCarthy in the VMP program here
at VI about the Elmo they use on a regular basis.. She replied and I
copied in here....Hope it helps..
We have had several teacher asking about ELMO. I'm not sure where VI
purchased it but I have found the best pricing at B&H Photo in New York
(they have a good web site), they have several models available ranging
from a portable lowend $600 to the top of the line $5000+. I think our
model originally priced $3000 to $4000. B&H allows customers to try
something out for 10 days and return it in the orginal packaging if they
don't like it. Toshiba also makes a combination document camera/LCD
projector, that way you don't need a separate LCD projector, a nice
feature and the cost is reasonable, but it comes down to image quality and
how fine a resolution you need.
I know they have a web site, but I am certain you can talk to someone
there as well. I have dealt with them on photography stuff and have been
pleased by their staff knowledge...
