Re: > heading in the general direction of the Grand Isle ferry.
The few birds at the ferry landing include an adult male Barrow's Goldeneye.
Late in the afternoon, the snow geese flights increased dramatically -
far more geese than I counted during all the previous week.
One bird lost in the glare of the early morning sun on Sunday (27th)
may have been a swan species (tundra/trumpeter) - only heard once - not seen.
Present at a feeder for a week, an adult male of the family of double-barred
White-&-Red-winged Blackbirds as seen in 2001, 2002, & 2003. Its wings'
greater coverts are boldly tipped with white, creating a solid wing-bar
as wide as the yellow bar on the median coverts.
