I assume we are talking about Red-Winged Blackbirds, and not the European species, Redwing, which has appeared a number of times over this past winter in North America?

Subject: [VTBIRD] First Redwings
We had our first two male REDWINGS in W. Brattleboro under our feeders
Wednesday morning (3/9) in the bitter windy cold following the Tues night
Their timing, weather-wise, was pretty lousy. However, they surely were a
welcome sight and helped restore my faith that spring is truly on the way!
