Today on the Lamollie river in milton/ colchester, there was quite a bit of activity. The ducks included common mergs (10-15), hoodies (5-10), woodies (4) and mallards (30+). Also along the river there was a mature bald eagle and some red-tails.
In south burlington in the field on the corner of dorset st. and cheese factory rd. the flock of turkeys has grown to around 38. Red winged blackbirds have reached milton and south burlington along with cowbirds and turkey vultures, all of which are now a common sight. The charlotte ferry had some good ducks today, hoodies, common mergs, ring-necks, green-winged teals, mallards and black ducks. A mocking bird flew out of sight by the parking lot.
Any body seen bufflehead yet?
