I see. The
        >Dozens of prominent scientists from all over the world
turn out to total 29, and far from all prominent scientists.
Furthermore, they constitute a legal entity able to trade using the name or
style Independent Science Panel which I'm interested to see they
copyrighted a couple y ago.

Who has arranged this odd outburst? She gives her own account:

I gather Goldsmith bankrolls Ho's ISIS and therefore the offshoot by Ho's
matronage 'ISP®'. He doesn't claim to be a scientist, but Ho treats as
personal favours the positions on her 'scientist' list. Recent graduates
who've done something for Ho hobnob with Pusztai & Ewen. That's equality
for you.
As an old friend of Goldsmith's, I feel well placed to point out he
shouldn't be claimed as a scientist.
The Union of Concerned Scientists has organized several impressive
declarations by numerous Nobelists and scores of other top scientists. I
wish UCS would do it again on GM.
Meanwhile this pronunciamento of 29 strikes me as 'going off
half-cocked'.
Intriguing to see David Bellamy alongside our Unca Joe! Politics
makes strange bedfellows. Bellamy declared he'd gone over to the other
side - TV ads for ICI agrichemicals, etc - a decade ago. To see him turn
again is welcome.
In what forum can we discuss the issues I'm touching on? The
movement to bring GM under control has been largely taken over by
powerHarpies such as Ho. Where is this problem to be discussed? Who is
doing anything about it? The sloppy science of Ho & some similar usurpers
has been a persistent excuse for scientists to evade the essentially
correct conservative policy of, say, UCS.
By now we should be able to assemble an impressive list of
scientists (with no playboy free-riders). Who will organize it? Evidently
not a spinoff from Ho. Come in, UCS ...
