The Church Street Marketplace will honor the 2004-05 University of Vermont
Basketball team with a parade and celebration Saturday, April 23 at 11 a.m.
"We are thrilled to share our success with the Burlington community and the
state," said Dr. Robert Corran, University of Vermont Athletic Director. "We
appreciated the city and the Church Street Marketplace putting together this
event and we are happy we are able to participate. The support that our
athletic programs receive from the community and across the state makes the
University of Vermont a special place."


Parade participants will include former UVM Basketball Coach Tom Brennan and
players from the 2004 team. The parade will begin at Church and Main at 11 a.m.
sharp and continue up the Church Street to Cherry Street, ending at a stage on
the Marketplace’s top block.  Mayor Peter Clavelle will welcome the team. Local
radio personality Steve Cormier of Champ 101.3 will serve as emcee for a brief
ceremony honoring the team.
