1. Campus Climate Survey!! ----------------------------
This is just a quick reminder that the campus climate survey ends this
Friday. It is very important that as many people as possible fill it out
in order for it to be used effectively. It is even available online at
http://web.survey.psu.edu/campusclimate/
so you can do it from anywhere. There are only 68 questions so it
doesn't take a long time. I really encourage you to take a few minutes
right now to help our community take stock of what the campus climate is
really like so that we can address any issues that may exist. This is a
very important and rare opportunity to have your opinions really count -
take advantage.

2. Astronaut Jerry Linenger to Speak at UVM ----------------------------
Wednesday, April 13th
Astronaut / Dr. Jerry Linenger Lecture (event through the Provost's office)
Ira Allen Chapel
Lecture time: 4-5 pm ( Doors to open at 3:00 pm) (tickets are limited)
Get tickets in the UVM Bookstore
Captain Jerry Linenger, retired United States Navy flight surgeon and NASA
astronaut, will speak on "The Sky Is Not the Limit: 132 Days Off the Planet"
Wednesday, April 13 in Ira Allen Chapel. Doors will open at 3 p.m., and
Linenger will speak from 4-5 PM.
Linenger held the record for the longest time in space for an American male
after completing a five month mission aboard the Russian space station Mir.
During his tenure there, he faced numerous difficulties including repeated
failures of life-support systems, a near-collision with a massive re-supply
spacecraft, several computer failures that sent the space station tumbling
uncontrollably through space, and the most severe fire ever aboard an orbiting
spacecraft. In spite of these life-threatening events, Linenger and his
crewmates accomplished all mission goals, including shuttle docking and space
walking.
