This morning Victory Bog was alive with the songs of several Hermit
Thrushes, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Wilson's Snipe, Swamp Sparrows, Winter
Wrens, Northern Flickers, Yellow-bellied sapsuckers, Eastern Phoebes,
Golden-crowned Kinglets, and Red-breasted Nuthatches (one seen excavating a
cavity). Woodcock, Merlin, TVs, and Woodducks were also seen....Most notable
however was the sighting of a Blue-headed Vireo singing from the crown of a
poplar. The northest kingdom is just wakiing up from winter.
