I am a fan of ducks, the only birds that I can identify with a fair degree
of reliability. Accordingly, I was in my element when I spotted four pairs of
puddlers-green-winged teal, blue winged teal, and wood ducks (2)-swimming in
the marsh located just south of the junction of Cheesefactory Road and
Hinesburg Road in South Burlington. There were numerous tree swallows swirling about
and a redtailed hawk was perched nearby overseeing it all.
