Greetings!
Summer may seem like it is never going to arrive given our current weather
situation, but I would like to encourage you "think summer" and to
consider the Vermont Middle Level Mathematics Initiative's summer course
offerings. We are pleased to offer two new 3-credit graduate level
courses for 5th-9th grade mathematics teachers, administrators, and
special educators this summer. Both courses will contribute to the
Vermont State Department of Education’s requirements for the middle level
endorsement in mathematics and highly qualified teacher status at the
elementary, middle, and secondary levels. The first course, Making
Informed Decisions, will be offered in Montpelier from July 11th to July
15th. The second course, Modeling Change, will be offered at Castleton
State College from August 1st to August 5th. Each course will include one
full-day fall follow-up session at its course location.
The Making Informed Decisions course (Montpelier, July 11th-15th) is
almost full. If you are interested in registering for this course, please
do so as soon as possible! There is still a reasonable amount of space
available in the Modeling Change course (Castleton State College, August
1st-5th). I can assure you that both courses are shaping up to be
terrific, one-of-a-kind courses!
Detailed information and registration forms are available on-line at our
website: [ http://www.vermontmathematics.org/mlhomepage.cfm

If you have any questions or concerns about either of the courses, please
do not hesitate to contact me by email at [log in to unmask] or
by phone at 802-828-1305.
Best regards,
Krisan Stone
