Greg and others....

Yes, the Free Press has a story in the works.  I was interviewed by them
Tuesday afternoon.  I gave reporter Josh Brown all the information that
I had, and numerous other contacts to follow up on.

Apparently I just missed Anson Tebbetts yesterday -- who apparently
missed seeing the crane, I was told.  I didn't see the piece on WCAX so
I don't know if he did or not.

The early concerns about the bird being harassed have been helped
tremendously by the bird herself.  She has persistently been in one
spot, a location that is exceptionally easy to view from the road.
Moreover, her location is far enough from the road that she is not
likely aware of our presence.    A wonderful array of birders, locals,
and others have now seen her and marveled at the Whooping Crane recovery
story.  Her magnificence and "ambassadorship" can only help in bringing
awareness to other endangered species as well!

She was there as of last evening (Wednesday).  Too much fog this morning
to look for her yet.
