Our usual resident Grey Catbirds didn't show up until yesterday, a few weeks late. However, they are making up for being late by building a nest in a lilac bush right outside our living room window. It's interesting to see them bring in long sticks and then bob and weave to get thru the tangle of branches to get to the nest location. My field guide to bird nests says construction will take 5-6 days. We'll see.
