Interesting article today about new research on chickadee alarm calls, which
apparently vary depending on the size and type of predator.

"'Certainly, what we're seeing is one of the most sophisticated alarm call
systems that's been discovered,' said Christopher Templeton, a University of
Washington graduate student who completed the research for his masters
thesis at the University of Montana."
