We went to look for the Tri-Colored Heron yesterday afternoon at
Brilyea, but could not locate it. There were many Great-Blues, 2 Great
Egrets and a Green Heron though.
Sightings here on the hill in Huntington lately have included a Scarlet
Tanager, Black-billed Cuckoo (heard), and a close encounter with a
Coopers Hawk that swooped down in front of me within about 10 or 12
feet.
