Team Pipit and a very nice ranger from Forests and Parks searched the three-toed woodpecker site from 6:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. today but came up empty-handed. No doubt the birds are still in the area somewhere - but too much habitat and too few eyes (and ears)!

Still, would encourage anyone birding the Northeast Kingdom in the next month or two to check this area. The birds may well be wandering about and could easily return to the scene of the crime.

Pipit.
