Pittsford is 7 miles north of Rutland on Route 7.  The Caldwell Loop starts
on Elm Street  which is a left turn off  Rte 7 in the heart of Pittsford.   The
trail starts about 3/4 of  a mile down Elm Street, right before the Cooley
Covered Bridge.  There is a pull-off for parking right before the bridge.  The
trail is truly a loop, so you can start on either side of the road.  The trail
is marked and mowed.  Kamuda's General Store at the corner of Rte 7 and Elm
Street can steer you if you need further assistance with directions.
     I have a map of the Pittsford Trail Network and can send you  a
photocopy.  If you'd like one, just Email me your address and I'll get one off to you.
 Otherwise, enjoy the spot.  It is quite buggy over there right now so bring
ammunition against insects.
