I find the 1 to 2 Mpixel range of cameras great for blogging. I like  
the oregon scientific ones ..

     pocket size
     supports SD and MMC cards
     2 AAA batteries
     about $80

The more professional cameras, while nice, all come with rechargable  
batteries - good if you are in a place where you can easily recharge  
them, but a disaster on a hike, bikeride, day trip.
