Dear Jennifer,
We are measuring the isotopic composition of single foraminifera,
using small reaction tube + low blank CF-IRMS. By using the system,
we can reduce the min. CaCO3 quantity to 0.2 ug. Please refer
following paper for the detail.
Ishimura, T., U. Tsunogai, and T. Gamo (2004) Stable carbon and
oxygen isotopic determination of sub-microgram quantities of CaCO3 to
analyze each individual foraminiferal shell. Rapid Commun. Mass Spec.

Sincerely,
Urumu
