Tubes of cookie dough bought at PriceChopper are easier and faster
than home-made. But they don't taste the same.
Thanks for the heads-up, though, MM -- I have downloaded "ctm" from
http://www.rbsoftware.net/?page=ctm . It's a little clumsy with
respect to "scrubbing" forward and back through the sound file in
search of suitable chapter breaks, but through some frustrating trial
and error I finally figured out the tricks.
Now I just need something interesting to say...
It might be cute to package PowerPoint presentations as "enhanced
podcasts for iTunes." Here's a dopey example
http://www.uvm.edu/~waw/blog/?p=265
Cute. But worth the effort? I guess that's for students and faculty
to decide.
A downside, of course, is that AAC files aren't MP3 files. My nephew
with the iRiver IFP-790 can't listen to AAC files (although he can
listen with iTunes, and see better quality images there than I can on
my iPod Color).

What features would a "server dedicated to Podcasts" have that would
make it compelling?
