2005 Opportunities for Action
LCBP Local Implementation Grants
The Lake Champlain Basin Program (LCBP) is pleased to invite proposals for
2005 Local Implementation Grants. Eligible projects will support the
comprehensive management plan Opportunities for Action: An Evolving Plan
for the Future of the Lake Champlain Basin. The plan addresses a broad
range of issues in the basin from protecting water quality to preserving
cultural heritage resources and encouraging sustainable recreation.
The applications and guidelines for each of the four categories of LCBP
grants may be

request a hard copy.
Organizational Support Grants – Up to $4,000 to strengthen the long-term
effectiveness of watershed, cultural heritage and recreation organizations.
Due October 14, 2005
Partnership Grants – Up to $5,000 for local projects that emphasize
community partnerships and collaborative efforts. Due October 14, 2005
Annual Priorities Grants – $5,000 – $10,000 to support technical projects
which address any of the highest priorities in Opportunities for Action.
Due October 14, 2005
Education & Outreach Grants – Up to $7,500 for projects that increase
students and/or adults awareness, knowledge, skills, and commitment to key
Lake Champlain issues identified in the plan. Due November 15, 2005
