Recently, I have unusually large 3:1 ratios (mass 46:44) ~0.031 compared
with usual ratios of ~0.0043 when burning organic samples in my EA. The
corresponding 2:1 ratios are 0.00031 (recent) compared with the usual
~0.012. This all started today after I changed the quartz insert within
the combustion tube. The system appears to be leak tight. The N2 peak
looks normal. My system is a Europa 20-20 with ANCA-GSL EA. I have not
seen this before, but wondered if it might be something simple, like an
expired water trap (it appears o.k.). Thanks.
