A check of Herrick's Cove yesterday morning produced no Katrina-flung
surprises and few certifiable migrants. Highlights included a first-year
Bald Eagle, 3 Blue-winged Teal, single Canada Warbler and No. Waterthrush,
4 Yellow Warblers, 11 Scarlet Tanagers, 7 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, and 4
Baltimore Orioles. Nice to hear a singing Warbling Vireo too.
