   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast 

   Tonight: Light west winds, becoming south at less than 10 knots. waves
   around 1 foot. 
   Friday: Southwest winds 10 to 20 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet. A slight
   chance of a shower, with visibility unrestricted. 
   Friday Night: West Wind 5 to 10 knots. Waves around 1 foot. 
   Saturday: West To northwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet. A
   chance of afternoon showers, with visibility unrestricted.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock is 95.70
   feet, and the water temperature is 70 degrees.

   The ultraviolet index for Friday September 2 is a 5. This is in the
   moderate category.

   The higher summits forecast for Vermont and Northern New York:

   Friday: Partly sunny with a slight chance of a shower. Highs in the
   upper 60S. Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph. 
   Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of afternoon showers. Highs in
   the mid 60S. Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph.
