The Lake Champlain open waters forecast
Tonight: South Winds 5 to 10 knots. Waves less than 1 foot.
Wednesday: South To southwest winds 10 knots. Waves 1 foot.
Wednesday Night: Southwest winds 5 to 10 knots. Waves around 1 foot.
Thursday: Southwest winds 10 to 20 knots becoming northwest 10 to 15
knots by evening. Waves 1 to 2 feet. A chance of afternoon and evening
showers reducing visibility to 5 miles at times.
The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 95.75
feet, and the water temperature was 69 degrees.
The ultraviolet index for Wednesday September 7 is a 5. This is in the
moderate category.
The higher summits forecast for Vermont and Northern New York:
Wednesday: A few clouds around the summits. Highs in the lower 60S.
Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. Highs 55 to 60. west
winds 20 to 30 mph.
