Some of us knew this was coming -- the next logical step.

Apple Computer announced today iTunes 6 and the iPod. Although called  
simply the iPod, the iPod now does video. iTunes does video. Now you  
can catch up on all those episodes of Alias and Lost and Battlestar  
Galactica that you forgot to Tivo -- just buy and download from  
Apple, watch them in your car on the way to work.

And iTunes does video podcasting.

I found this out quite accidently, when I clicked on the "Videos"  
icon in the left hand sidebar, just under my iTunes music library and  
Podcasts and just above Party Shuffle. I clicked on that and found  
that iTunes had already downloaded a movie for me -- right from my  
own blog (which of course,  I have subscribed to).

I'm not sure we needed this, but it is pretty cool.

I may be sorry I ordered a 30 GB iPod -- it's gonna fill up awfully  
fast.
