Although I wasn't able to get out on the final day of this amazing stretch
of weather, I did a 1/2 hour survey of goldenrod-aster fields in Norwich
each late afternoon between 2-5 Oct. Results, with dates separated by '/':
Cabbage White -- 6/4/5/3
Clouded Sulphur -- 9/6/7/5
Orange Sulphur -- 2/2/3/4
E. Tailed-Blue -- 1/2/2/0
Painted Lady -- 1/1/0/1
Monarch -- 2/1/0/6
Tawny-edged Skipper -- 1/1/0/0
The next couple of days don't sound too promising....
