The Lake Champlain open waters forecast
A Lake wind advisory is in effect for this evening
This evening: West Winds 20 to 25 knots. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
Tonight: West Winds 10 to 20 knots, becoming south toward midnight.
Waves 1 to 2 feet.
Tuesday: South Winds 10 to 20 knots, becoming west late. Waves 1 to 2
feet. Showers likely. Visibility reduced to 5 miles at times.
Tuesday Night: Northwest winds 10 to 20 knots, decreasing to 5 to 10
knots late. Waves 1 to 2 feet, subsiding to 1 foot or less. showers
likely until midnight, with visibility reduced to 5 miles at times.
Wednesday: West Winds 5 to 10 knots, becoming south in the afternoon.
Waves 1 foot or less. A chance of showers, with visibility remaining
unrestricted.
The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock is 96.36
feet, and the water temperature is 55 degrees.
The ultraviolet index for Tuesday, October 18 is a 1. This is in the
low category.
The higher summits forecast for Vermont and Northern New York:
Tuesday: Summits obscured in clouds. Showers likely. Highs around 40.
West Winds 30 to 40 mph.
Wednesday: Summits obscured in clouds. A chance of afternoon showers.
Highs in the lower 40S. Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph.
