Hi, Everyone. I am pleased to announce a skivt-l attendees list of 17
bodies, all of whom signed on by around September 30th.
Here are some points for you procastinators to think about:
1. We still need one more body to fill our 2-Cat committment of 18. We
have solidified the two Cats, but we must fill them with 18 bodies
to guarantee we have exclusive use of both Cats all week. Since we are
almost there, I want at least one fencesitter to sign on for the tour!
2. If we can put 6 bodies in the Condo next to the Red Shutter Inn (we have
4 now), BRC will most likely reduce the trip surcharge to a very nominal
amount. Like I said,
these are great folks to deal with!
3. If you backchannel me, I will forward you a cool 3-D map of the BRC
permit area for your viewing enjoyment. You should see the size of this
place next to Red Mountain!
4. A special thank you to Elena Dulik, Andy's wife. It seems that poor
Andy was originally barred from attending due to kid #3 set to arrive around
April 2006. After moaning to me in a truly pitiful email about having to
stay home because of family duties, I received a surreptitious post from
Elena enclosing her credit card number and advising she was buying Andy the
BRC trip for a surprise anniversary gift. Three cheers for a great SU!
5. If anyone is serious about stacking a few days for a road trip in
advance of the trip, contact me. I'm pretty sure that me, Briar, MikeR,
JasonL and maybe PaulT will again be rattling around northern Idaho/Montana
for three or four days the week prior sampling the goods.
6. More than a foot of white stuff has been lying on the top of BRC since
early October. Think snow!
