5. Want to be a liason for your street?

Want to do your part to strengthen downtown relations?

This new initiative will improve the student living experience by increasing
communication between off-campus students and UVM and the City. Be the liason
for your street, and spread information about safety and noise concerns to both
students and non-students. Attend Community Coalition meetings once a month to
discuss ideas for improvement, apply for grant money to implement creative
projects on your street, and represent your street at Ward meetings.

Responsibilities are minor and may be increased at each individual's discretion.
The main responsibility is to facilitate and encourage productive
communication. Attend one of two information sessions:
     Friday, Dec. 2; 3:30-4:30
     Monday, Dec. 5; 6:30-7:30
to be held in Martin Luther King Lounge, Billings Student Center.

Contact Gail Shampnois ([log in to unmask]; 656-1103) or Katie Carl
( [log in to unmask]; 656-7735) for more information or to sign up for an information
session.

6. Want to create your own L/L program idea?

Have a desire to design activities and plan trips that focus on a particular
area of interest?
Would you like to get involved on campus and gain valuable leadership
experience?
Consider designing your own Living/Learning Center program for the 2006-2007
academic year!

For more information: Visit http://www.uvm.edu/llcenter/design, Stop by the L/L
Director's Office in 205 Commons, near the L/L Main Desk. Attend one of the
Program Proposal Information Sessions:
                -Thursday, November 17 @ 5:30 PM
                -Monday, November 21 @ 3:30 PM
                -Thursday, December 8 @12:30 PM
(All sessions will be held in L/L Room 315 Commons.)

  Be creative. Start something.
