... which is slightly out of date, since the software was upgraded to
the newest version just over a week ago. The process is probably closer to:
1. Go to https://netid.blog.uvm.edu/mt/mt.cgi
2. Click on “Weblogs” from the menu on the right, then "Create New Weblog".
3. Next to “Weblog Name”, enter whatever you’d like the title/name to be.
5. For “Site URL”, it will default to “https://netid.blog.uvm.edu/“.
That should be changed to “https://netid.blog.uvm.edu/newblog/” where
"newblog" is a short name for your blog, with not spaces or special
characters.
4. For “Site Root”, it will default to “/var/www/html/blogs/netid/“.
You should change that to “/var/www/html/blogs/netid/newblog“. In other
words, if “newblog” is a name reflective of your new blog, add it onto
the end of that string. Again, it should contain just lowercase letters
and numbers. No spaces, or other characters.
8. For “Timezone”, set it to “UTC-5 (Eastern)”.
9. Click on “Save Changes”.
You’ll need to add a post on you new sub-blog, and then rebuild your
site. Once this is done, you can go to
http://netid.blog.uvm.edu/newblog/ to see your new blog.
Hope this helps,
-Justin
