This morning (29 January), there were about 500 Common Goldeneye and 650
scaup at the Grand Isle-Colchester Railroad Causeway. The goldeneye were
primarily on the Mallet's Bay side of the causeway, and 1 male Barrow's
Goldeneye was mixed in the flock. The scaup (both species, but far enough
from shore that I couldn't get a good breakdown of Lesser vs. Greater) were
on the lakeside, with 3 White-winged Scoters in the flock.
