I stopped by the intervale compost area today and walked around a bit.
All of the sudden all the birds scattered in every direction. There are
plenty of Red-tails in the area, so I figured one was making a glide over
the compost piles. I looked up and saw a mature Bald Eagle circle and
land in the tree right across from the main entrance to the compost
operation. He sat there for about two minutes and took off towards
Winooski. This was around 10AM. Had my camera, but he never got close
enough for a decent shot!
