Anne, a resident of South Strafford, VT, taught art for 29 years in
the public school system. She has lived in VT since moving here from
Boston in 1969. Birds, especially raptors: the softness of feather
and eye coupled with the fierceness of beak and talon, provide models
for exploration. Art has many meanings. Anne strongly believes,
however, that it is primarily an experience for the observer. The
artist's role is merely a vessel through which the experience flows.
Her interests also include philosophy, science, literature, music,
gardening, and the "wonders all around us". Currently she is a field
volunteer with VINS' Breeding Bird Atlas and the Vermont Butterfly Survey.
